Ever sit alone
lost in a trance
staring at nothing
numb, with no defense?

Ever find your feelings
scattered, and afraid
racking, and holding
tightly to your brain

Ever flip through the pages
of a book
fictional but true
the fake romance
and tortured pain
is so real
a symbolic resemblance
of me and you

ever think it is foggy
and unclear
convinced by mortality
and fear
you had it all right here
i gave it all right there.
