take it away

breeze hits you lightly
smell rain
feel pain
no one gets left unbroken

rush of wind
clash of thunder
thoughts only thought
left nothing to ponder

head back
eyes shut
mouth open
screaming
rain pounding

on top of the world
or at the bottom of my own
feelings left unknown
so much to learn
someone-else take a turn
feel the burn
fade
into another day
wish it away
take it away.
